Motorists are alerted that work to repave portions of Route 30 in Jenner and Quemahoning townships, and Jennerstown and Stoystown boroughs got underway on April 17.
There are two work zones on Route 30. The first runs from Route 985 to Route 219. Work at this location consists of milling and bituminous overlay, some concrete pavement rehabilitation along with guiderail, pavement marking, drainage and signage upgrades.
The second work zone, whic runs from US 30 near Route 281, consists of new inlets and drainage installed along Route 30 near the newly constructed bridge that carries Route 4019 over Route 30 in Stoystown Borough. A newly paved shoulder will be placed after the drainage upgrades are completed.
Work, which is weather permitting, is expected to be completed by late September.
