MEYERSDALE – The Second Amendment and gun owners’ rights will be the subject of a Gun Rights Seminar to be hosted by Reps. Matt Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) and Carl Walker Metzgar (R-Bedford/Somerset) on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Meyersdale Community Center, 215 Main St., Meyersdale.

“I am pleased to join my colleague in hosting this informative and important seminar,” said Dowling. “We will have outstanding speakers who will provide great information on how to protect one of the most valued freedoms we have, the right to keep and bear arms.”

Metzgar added: “Our liberty is only as good as our ability to protect it and our founders certainly understood this when they provided us with constitutional protections to keep and bear arms. This event makes sure that we know our rights when it comes to defending ourselves and our freedom.”

The featured speakers will be Kim Stolfer, president of Firearms Owners Against Crime; Attorney Ed Bilik; Shawn Barron of the Pennsylvania Game Commission; and a representative of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentations.
