District Offices Reopening for Appointments, Metzgar Says

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Carl Walker Metzgar (R-Somerset/Bedford) today announced that his district office in Somerset will be reopening on Monday, May 18, by appointment only.

The district office, located at 301 Georgian Place in Somerset, will reopen with its normal hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office will only be accepting visits by appointment for the time being. Appointments can be made by calling the office at 814-443-4230. Walk-in visitors are still not being accepted in efforts to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

“I’m very excited to begin reopening my district offices to the residents of Somerset and Bedford counties,” said Metzgar. “Elected officials do our jobs best when our constituents have a way to reach us directly, and our district offices are the best way to do that.”
